CE UK ~
Mark Taylor sent this letter about CE UK and I wanted to share it with you all. We've had limited access to computers so I'll write more about our European One Stroke Painting Adventure soon.
We started the classes on Saturday at 8.30am with WaterStrokes 2 projects - everyone loved them! We sold out of the kits on Friday afternoon before they even had a chance to try it. We moved on to the wildflower canvas, then the rooster, then fabric painting ~ a Santa. But we weren't finished yet! Then Donna taught three clay projects - finishing at 7.30pm - where does she get the energy? It has to be healthy chocolate! Sunday morning at 8.30am we started again - The tiger was first, then the 4 10 x 10 canvases, the blue jar & spider mums finishing with the 'little bird'. I make that 14 projects painted & sculpted in 2 days - incredible! The group left on Sunday unable to paint another stroke - but very, very happy.
This was the 5th year of CE's in the UK and we thought that we wouldn't be able to hold another next year - we are bowing down to the pressure from a realtatively small, but very inistent group of painters - so a UK retreat could well be on the cards for 2010. Each year we think that we couldn't possibly improve on the previous one - but each year somehow it happens. Donna keeps coming back with new designs & techniques to enthrall the group, the delegates have got to know each other over the last 5 years and have made lasting friendships. And they just don't want it to end.
Regards,
Mark
